Final of Guild of Bricklayers competition
Final of the Guild of Bricklayers 2015 competition will be held tomorrow (17 June) at the Leeds College of Building, Cudbear Street,Leeds.
The Mortar Industry Association has helped sponsor the national and regional competitions through free supply of factory-produced mortar and donating a trophy.
The 12 competitors – made up of 10 outright regional winners and two who were second placed with the highest marks across all regional competitions – will be given six hours to complete a brickwork model incorporating both decorative and special features.
The competition has two levels, senior for trainees working towards S/NVQ/diploma level 3 and junior for new industry entrants with little or no site experience and working towards S/NVQ/diploma level.
