Guild of Bricklayers regional competitions well underway

By the end of April, five of the planned eleven regional Guild of Bricklayers competitions had been completed.

These, with their winners, were:

Notts/Lincoln – held at Chesterfield College

• Senior winner: Jake Richards, Burton College

• Junior winner: Ross Brown, Chesterfield College

Wales – Newtown College

• Senior: Oliver Fletcher, Coleg Sie Gar

• Junior: Zachary Timothy, Colegy Cymoedd Ystrad Mynach

North West – Preston College

• Senior: Oliver Evans, Preston College

• Junior: Joe Higginson, Bury College

West Midlands – Stoke-on-Trent College

• Senior: Jack Case, Shrewsbury College

• Junior: Angus Ryan, Shrewsbury College

Southern – Highbury College

• Senior: Zacariah Carpenter, Northbrook College

• Junior: Jamie Markey, Highbury College.

Winners from these competitions go to the final to be held at Leeds College on Wednesday 17 June.
